This hat can be knit on any machine with lace patterning capabilities and a ribber or garter carriage.  Gauge: 7 sts and 10 rows = 1".

Fairisle socks in the Latvian tradition with a fancy cuff These are not knit in circular and have no ribbing.  Short row heel and toe and sewn side seam. Standard gauge.

For Japanese machines, there are three sizes described for the standard machines, and two for the bulky / mid-gauge machines. Make these bags out of any fiber from cotton to lurex.
